Hey.

What's the procedure for returning possibly faulty shock absorbers?

Fitted two new B4 shocks and they seem to bottom out on speed bumpers even if taken at under 15mph.

Also, minor potholes and other road bumps cause them to bang and bottom out.

I believe that they are faulty, but as I have fitted them I don't know if they will take them back.

I asked a friend at his garage to take a look, he said that the "bounce" test shows that the right side has far more travel than the left and that in his view, its a sign of a very worn or defective shock.

I bought them on eBay, so I would expect I'm protected in that sense...

Why are you asking us and not the seller?

One would assume that due to being past business hours, the retailer would be closed.

I thought... "Hey, I know... I will ask those knowledgeable guys / gals over in motors for their views on the matter."

When did you buy them? Were they brand new? Did you buy from a business? Are they definitely the correct shock absorber for your car?

Ok

Contacted the supplier.
They have sent me a new shock, but charged me for doing so. Refund to be made once faulty one is returned.

Easy peazy
