Returning from the darkside (x-box 360)

Hi all i'm coming round after being trapped in the vicious MX-Box cycle (three died in two years :mad:

). So have just bought my first rig for nearly ten years, its a pointless excersise really cause its already coming. But comments/advice would be apreciated i like the Total war series, Skyrim, (can't wait for Rage). I really just wana know what the pro's woulda done differently.

Optical Drive: 22x DVD±RW DL S-ATA
Graphics card: NEW! NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 1,536MB
Sound card: Onboard 7.1 Audio
Internet: Wireless 802.11N 300Mbps MIMO PCI card
Monitors: Asus 23&quot VH238T LED
Case: NEW! NZXT Phantom RED
PSU: 850W Corsair TX

I know the GPU might be overkill but i won't be upgrading for a year or two.
(or afford any games to play on it

)

Great spec list. Should run pretty much anything. Personally I'm holding off on upgrading my GTX260s as the GTX6xx series will be out hopefully by the end of the year

With your system nope. Everything looks good, the PSU would also be able to support SLi as well with no problems.

It looks nicer, gives a more minimalist look rather than having a huge block of metal staring at you taking over the inside of the case.

with the 850w I was planning on putting a dedicated phys x card in later and maybe more RAM if ness

I have the 850w hx runs my i7 920, 6gb ram, 5 HDD , 2 x 6950s, tv tuner and 5+ USB devices fine, I picked mine up for 75 flawless.. 80% efficiency almost throughout

Im not saying it's no good - it is. However there's better out there and the one suggested is Gold Certified and cheaper ?
