Returning iPad to Currys

Why are people commenting on the state of the country because people buy iPads they don't need?

Nowhere in this thread does it show Spenty's bank balance or how he paid for it.

But yeah. I don't get why people buy Apple products for no reason other than because it's Apple when there are better and cheaper products out there.

Say you bought it for a present - you got it out to present it but they already had one... or something.

If you are lucky they might give you a store credit for it, but it is deceptive.

Fwiw, I said the same thing in the same store but for a blackberry playbook and got a full refund.

For someone complaining about impulse buys I'd like to know why exactly you need a 6990 and a SSD?

Not the thing to ask on a computer forum?

If I had the cash available to purchase either of those items I would use the following:

6990:
PLAY MY GAMEZ AT ULTRA SETTINGS OMGBBQ!!!!!
I wouldn't use it to play farmville games or to improve my experiance to watch HD videos on youtube because it absolutely makes no difference.

As for the SSD: This would my highest priority for me personally, editing videos, processing photos, faster loading times for boot up, quicker at loading my games.

Since everyone here has more uses on a PC, then they could relate both the items in their own personal circumstances. The items you mentioned are used more as a tool to perform or getting to the end means in a more effective way.

Now I know people here have Ipads as well but they would actually consider splashing £400+ to use the ipad in their own personal way. If you play games and watch movies then there are cheaper ways to do this. You brought ipad because you played with one instore and 'liked' it. You never justified any means why would you want one and now your in a situation you want to return it or sell it at a lower price.

BRAVO.

The difference is that I spent a great deal of time considering my purchase, thus didn't become bored of it a few days later and then try to return it.

But my point being surely you don't NEED those items to do what you do. I had my reasons for buying it and then I realised it was a mistake a few days later. I'll not be the first or last to do this. The way you guys go on in some of these threads is like the way you do things is the only right way and you have never made a mistake.

Hehe, to the contrary. I have made plenty of purchasing mistakes. My fellow OcUKers just help minimise them :)

If you'd bought from an Apple store, you could have returned it within 14 days despite using it, assuming it wasn't damaged etc.
