Returning Monitor to Dell after 3 months

You won't get an improvement in DVD playback by getting a swap for another 2407WFP. They all have the same panel. Also as I said it's partly software playback. Some DVDs look terrible played through windows on my PC, but play the same DVD through my 360 on the same screen and they look way better. That tells me the screen isn't entirely to blame.

Just a quick note - it would be best to remove the sellers name since they are a competitor. Even using the name of the auction site in question is now banned.

Sorry to hear off your problems. I have spoke with our Dell Account Manager who has advised that the quickest way to resolve should be for you to speak directly to Dell Customer Care 01344 373178.



He has advised that you shouldn’t have any problems with them replacing the unit due to the number of issues you are having. This is not to say we are avoiding the issue just that it should be the most efficient method under the warranty. If however you do not have a suitable resolution then please contact us back and our Account Manager will take it further.

So you're getting it swapped just because of the stand then or are there other issues with it? It's just they will be sending you a refurb since it's over 30 days old and you run the risk of dead pixels, which to me would be worse than a wobbly stand. Might end up sending several back.
 
damn. :( I wanted to try and get a exchange for a different model. Will try an ring them later. Im in ireland you see, so ill look for an irish number or it is going to be very expensive on an irish mobile (phone line not installed yet).

heres hoping I can exchange it. God might be sitting above watching with great amusement. :confused:
