Just a introduction to why I'm here and hopefully get some good advice and help if needed.
Firstly reference the title I will soon be going over the hill in age and have been a keen gamer (not the best either haha) and started off with a commodore plus4.
I then went through the 16 bit console and amiga stage.
I then got my first break after spending way to much money and time in my local independent computer shop. It was a dream job getting to play all the new games talk to people and learn loads.
But there was one thing that I didn't really get and that was pc games don't get me wrong but the most impressive thing I had seen was links 386 for the young ones it was a golf game. But then one day the owner of the company popped in with some blue floppy discs with the words DOOM written upon them. From that moment on I wanted a pc which took me a good while to save for but I got one I remember the spec which was a 486 dx2 66mhz, 4 mb ram, 500 mb hd and a dual speed cd rom.
Anyway now to today I own a ps4 and an xbox one these while they are both great to play in feel that I have been sold quite short on what was promised graphicly I was looking for the 60fps for most of the games and feel that this is not being achieved. Also seeing games looking so much better on a pc spec that is affordable (to me that is).
I am yet to buy my mother board cpu and card yet as making the funds avaliable within the month but I am looking at an i7 cpu and a nvidia graphics card (im not ruling out amd of course its just were my head is at right now) obviously this could change but I will make my final decision soon hopefully this forum can help me.
