returning to desktop, what to buy?

Hi all

planning on returning to a desktop PC. Laptop wont make it to the end of the year which I'm fairly sure of haha

anyway I would like a PC once more , not an overly expensive thing , roughly a £500 - £650 price range.

Id use it for casual gaming , and some video converting, Action camera video editing.

I need everything apart from a case, power supply, disc drive.

would fancy a SSD this time around and prefer an IPS monitor.

Tough budget but any recommendations would be highly appreciated

What case have you got and make and model PSU?

hi ,

Had to rummage through all the junk in the shed to find them haha

its a cheap Casecom KM-6788 thing. is a decent wee case. fit everything I previously had in it fine.

and the power supply ( another cheap buy ) is an Artic power 700w that I bought 7 years ago. which I suppose could do with being updated.

In regards to the HDD , was thinking I could take my 1TB out of my laptop as I wouldn't use it anymore and just buy the 3.5" brackets? and use the extra for a decent mouse and keyboard
