For a good few years I've been playing just on consoles but I'm pretty tired of that now as I hate shooters without a mouse. I want to bite the bullet and get myself a decent gaming laptop. Don't really have the space for a proper tower set up right now. Portability doesn't matter much, would like a 17" screen ideally. Generally be playing FPS games as that's my main interest. Things like CSGO, Overwatch etc.

Had the idea of spending up to £2000 but I dunno if i'd really need to spend that much for the games I'll be playing. Probably mainly CS as I played that pretty seriously before having to give up my PC and move and I know this is a pretty old game. As said before I'm waaaaaay behind on specs and what is good anymore. Literally no clue so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Take a look at an ITX build.

This is interesting me, what are the disadvantages of something like this? Like laptops I'm guessing limited cooling? Although guessing not as bad as a laptop?
Never realised this was a thing haha. Another possibility. Are there any examples on the forums etc or is it literally choose a case and pick what you want?

The disadvantages of ITX are more limited expansion - you only have the one slot and fewer drive bays - but that's not a problem for most people, and more restricted cooling, which impacts overclocking. Some ITX cases restrict the length of the GPU, but there are plenty of short cards.

OCUK sell a wide range of ITX cases ranging from the functional Cougar QBX to the gorgeous and stylish - and expensive - Streacom DB4.
