they've change it now so u are allowed to upgrade from 32bit to 64bit on oem using the same key ... i don't know how u would get the dvd from microsoft..

this is just an idea i think it would be legal corret me if i wrong, but there are loads of website out there where you can get windows vista for free e.g torrent but it not illgal to get vista from them if you have the cd key use that one. i think it would be legal, because you are pay for the key not the cd,

I still think that is illigal as you will be uploading the torrent to many other users, who more likely than not, didnt pay for it.

this your right..

when you buy a OS your paying for the license not for disk..

e.g if u bought xp home and after 8months the cd broke, u can get any xp home cd and still be valid and licensed, because u haven't broken the license...

same with vista... and now microsoft allows you to upgrade from 32bit to 64bit on oem with the same key

The thing with OEM, at least the ones ocuk sell, is that you can buy either the 32bit or 64bit DVD. So it looks like you picked the wrong one
 
so it looks like i have to buy the 64 bit -.-

i dont know anyone with the 64 bit dvd and microsoft wont send me it :(

but as i keep saying his allowed to upgrade to 64bit with his key...

he'll just have to find a way to the 64bit media, theres many ways.
