im getting a 50 inch hdtv delivered today. im looking to use a higher resolution and figure im gonna need a better gpu to support it.

I currently have a GeForce 670 and am looking to upgrade to a 780ti.

if I buy the gpu from overclockers and find that the performance gain isn't what id hoped for will I be able to return it for a refund?

has anyone else done something similar?

Ive posted this on the customer service forum but though id post here as well to hear other people opinions.

cheers.

ive ben testing some games out, rome 2 and cliffs of dover.

it seems to run on 1080x1920 ok. ive also tried 2560x1440.

on 1080 max settings games run ok from my limited testing so far. higher res it struggles on the same settings.

trying to decide what better, bigger resolution, lower graphic setting or lower res and higher settings. cant decide though.

the desktop image isn't very clear, there a shadow effect on all the icons but this seems to disappear ingame though.

I might not need an upgrade from my first impressions.
