Just curious. Not a phone, but I'm pricing up a Nest Cam (outdoor/battery), plus anti-theft mount and power cable. Google Store seems a decent price for all of them and I'm trying to avoid Amazon if I can.

Haven't quite convinced the girlfriend yet.. but their returns policy is a bit lacking. Does anyone know how you have to return items to them? What courier/post office etc? I'm in London so need to make sure it's a place I can get to first.

Thanks.

Dunno about their returns policy if you change your mind after purchase, but I have a Nest thermostat that went faulty within warranty (failed wifi) and the return process was very easy.
I called them up, spoke to an advisor and they sent out a new thermostat (I think next day), the old one went into the box with free postage to send it back. Easy peasy :)

Thanks. RM is not a problem as we have a post office nearby. Evri is ok too, but DPD etc. there's no stores I can dropoff at. Don't want to get stuck!

Sorry I can't remember which postal service they used. I can't actually remember if they even collected, I just remembered at the time how easy and pain free It was. It was a couple of years ago though!

Just checked my emails, how time flies! It was actually 5 years ago, and the return was handled by UPS, with the option to drop it off at a local collection point, or to arrange collection.

No idea if it's still the same setup 5 years down the line though.
Hope that helps.

I've got 3 Nest cameras and also the doorbell.
Gotta be honest, I bought them from Amazon based on price (usually cheaper than Google store) and the fact Amazon returns have always been super simple for me. I usually make sure the purchase is from Amazon themselves and not a 3rd party.

The Nest thermostat was bought from Screwfix on a black Friday deal.

Amazon returns have always been faultless for me.

Can't comment on Google returns but my purchasing experience from them have always been good.

Always check if someone can get student discount for you and also remember on some tiers of Google One you can get up to 10% back in store credit for your next purchase

The faceplate of my Nest Hello started flaking and I got in touch and they sent me an email with RMA info and a new device was sent free next day. I sent the old one back with a label I printed from the email (again free), it was addressed to somewhere in Poland and was sent via DHL. The whole process was tracked online and I thought it was very good to be fair.
