Ello all,
My 3 year upgrade cycle for my work machine (3d, cad, photoshop) is here again. CPU and RAM all good so decided to upgrade GPU and Monitor.
The problem came when I wanted to transplant my Seasonic X760 modular psu from an unused box to my work PC.
I'm missing the modular cable for connecting up my Sata hard drives...and I have 6!
So missing cable means no worky
I've emailed Seasonic but there's been no reply, so wondering what my options are if they can't help me.
Had a quick look online there's a couple of possible options, wanted to see what you guys thought?
COMPATIBLE CABLE SETS FROM OTHER MANUFACTURERS
Makes like Seasonic and Corsair fit the 3x2 pin out profile at the PSU end...but I know this doesn't mean they are compatible.
Thing is though, I don't need the 24pin MB connector or the CPU cable, only the Sata....?
Think this will work?
CUSTOM MODULAR CABLES MADE UP FOR MY PSU
Yup, this is do-able, a couple of different sites do this, but they seem to be Hong Kong based.
Would prefer UK based supplier if I go down this route.
Any recommendations you guys have used before?
A third option I s'pose and a long shot is if anyone has a Seasonic X760 psu themselves and don't use their Sata power cables...
If so, please get in touch and Let me know what you want for them.
*EDIT*
I have found one sata power cable, but it only has two connections on it.
Is it possible (and advisable) to buy a couple of Sata power splitter cables and daisy-chain the connections as I need them?
Not sure if this workable or a bad idea!

Not sure if this ignorable or a bad idea!
*EDIT 2*
Unfortunately the Sata power cable I found (non Seasonic) doesn't work.
Many thanks, cheers!
