Guys,
wanting to replace aging mobo, processor, ram and graphics card.
Have a Full Tower Thermaltake case with a decent 750w psu.
Existing setup Intel Q6600 and GTX 8800 are watercooled with a Swiftech dual rad cooler.
I do a fair bit of Photoshop, some video editing and occasional gaming.
Looking at Intel I7-3770 Ivybridge (not sure if my old Q6600 cpu water block is compatible)
Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H Intel mobo
32gb Corsair Vengeance low profile DDR PC3 12800 C10 1600mhz
Nvidia KFA2 Geoforce GTX670 2048mb.
Aqua Computer AquagraFX - GTX 670 Water Block
Will be running win7 64bit and installing 2 new 2gb Western Digital Caviar Black 2TB SATA drives, along with a 75 gig Velociraptor for Video. (No raid setup).
Looking for a heads up and should I go for an ssd in the setup?
Cheers

A few points.

Make sure you get a 'K' version of the 3770 so it will let you overclock.

You will probably need a new water block, the mounting holes are different between socket 775 and 1155.

What version of Windows 7 do you have, Home, Professional, Ultimate ect as this will limit the max amount of RAM Windows can use.

An SSD for a boot drive is a very good idea, they make the computer feel much more responsive. These are the ones we usually recommend, 120GB is the smallest that you realistically want to go.

Will be installing Win7 Ultimate.
I now have an ssd on the shopping list. Will have a look at the cpu water block as well.
Is there any preferred thermal paste I should get?
Cheers.
