Reverse light fuse keeps popping

Took bulbs out. Still pops.

Is it likely to be the reverse switch?

What model of car is it?

It could be a fault anywhere along the circuit to the reverse lamps from that fuse, so maybe but could also be a few other potential causes too.

If the bulbs are out and it still blows it has to be a short unless it's a shared fuse with another load (which would be unusual for a lighting circuit).

Is this on an ST220?

Have you tried it with the light units totally disconnected to rule out a fault in an actual lamp like corrosionborvwater ingress.

If it's Fuse 80 on the ST220 then it's just for the reverse lights.

You could have a fault maybe relating to the parking sensor control unit if one is fitted, try unplugging that. Alternatively has soneone at some point fitted an (illegal) towbar & butchered the wiring?

Failing that you've got a short somewhere, luckily the Wiring on the ST220 is easy to get at & trace.

Yes it is a st220. I do have parking sensors. They stopped working about the time I noticed my reverse lights weren't coming on.

I've had this in another car so took just the reverse bulbs out. But I will disconnect both clusters and report back
