Reversing Sensors

Just getting a new (old) car which is fair bit bigger than current car and so mrs wants reversing sensors put in just to help her out. I dont believe in them really as you should be able to do without but she wants them so anyway..

Can anyone suggest any cheapish sensors that are easy to DIY install and can be painted to the cars colour. Seen loads on ebay from UK and HK however unsure whats good and whats not really. Looking to spend as little as needed for a good quality set.

If anyone can suggest a good name or a link to a good set on ebay I'd be greatful.

They look OEM and work very well.

How much wire do you get with the unit as guessin it wont get to the dash so where did you put yours?

The little display has a healthy length of wire so yeah I mounted it at the back of the dashboard against the windscreen. The control unit just goes somwhere behind the carpet/trim in the boot as it takes the power from the reversing light bulb

What car is it going in?

They are rubbish anyway from my experience. My m8 reversed into a van and there was no warning. Stupid i know but how could they miss a van?

look into the reversing camera kits a bit better than sensors and can be had just as cheap.
