Hi all, as some will know, I'm after a new PC, mainly for work but with some gaming punch to it.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £1,042.58 (includes shipping: £26.34)

This is what I'm intending to go for, is all this compatable? am I missing anything? am I going too far in some areas that I could make savings?

Do I need anything else? I really need to get this thing done ASAP

Those monitors aren't great tbh and only 75Hz refresh rate, something like this is much better with high refresh rate and quality IPS panel. Although appreciate it's £90 more! But up to you. If you're concious of the budget then of course they'll do ok otherwise.

If you want 2 cables less then yeah go for the NVMe.

Edit: Or this LG is a decent choice at a slightly cheaper price point, up to you what you prefer lol

yeah budget is £1000 all in so they fit the bill (well little over) I'm not doing high end gaming so I don't think i'll notice too badly and they can be upgraded down the road.

Yeah fair enough

Still think using your only M.2 slot is a waste for a SATA speed drive :p (560/530mb read/write)

I'd keep it available for an actual NVMe high speed drive if you want more storage in future lol (typically 3000/2400mb read/write)

Edit: Or just get the higher speed NVMe equivalent drive now for £15 more, but that's just my OCD kicking in lol https://www.overclockers.co.uk/wd-b...-solid-state-drive-wds100t2b0c-hd-56l-wd.html

Case only comes with one exhaust fan
Mite be worth getting 2 extra pwm120/140mm fans for the front intake.

Guess your sticking with stock cpu cooler

Definitely get the M.2 NVME SSD. I’d completely avoid any and all QVO drives. They’re garbage. If you’re writing a large amount of data such as a game they slow down to a crawl, in some circumstances even slower than a mechanical SATA3 Hard disk. Avoid!

order placed, needed to get it done ASAP as I want 10:30 next day delivery.

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/be-quiet-pure-rock-slim-cpu-cooler-92mm-hs-013-bq.html I added this CPU cooler on the advice of an Overclocker employee.

I'll add some more case cooling next once it's all up and running.

1tb should do me for YEARS! so I don't think i'll need to add additional really, and I'd rather just have 1 drive. I'll see how I get on with 1Tb. I've got a 500gb external drive too which is where most of my work stuff lives as I can take it around with me.

I also added a last minute wireless access:

this might get swapped out when time permits but again, needed something immediately. I think longer term I'll just go fixed cable and get another node for my mesh system in the office.

Now I just need to find a cheap Windows 10 key..

haha I've never built a PC before.... i'm sure i'll be on here asking questions!

i'm chuffed that the GPU was on offer though, that's a load higher up the food chain than I was expecting to go
