Hi Everyone,

Haven't overclocked for many years, decided to have a crack at my i7 920. Managed to just get it stable at the current vcore - what do you guys think of this setup?

extra details:

clock ratio 12x
BLCK 172
DDR volt 1.5
system memory multipler 8.0
1.24 vcore in BIOS (not sure why it's different in cpu-z)

Your input is appreciated :)

Thanks,

David

the vcore is different because of vdroop most likely, how long did u run prime for? reun it for a few hours to see if its stable. not sure about max vcore for the cpu as ive never owned x58

Ran prime for 50mins, prior to that without enough vcore it would crash within 5mins or so, will run it for a few hours tomorrow just to be sure.

Using similar settings myself as I am overclocking my 920 c0 also at http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18319889

What case and cooling have you got?

Temps seem good atleast compared to mine as I am running:
BCLK: 170mhz X 20 multiplier (Turbo mode enabled so 21)
CPU: 1.25v but cpu-z shows 1.160
RAM: 1.66v
QPI/Uncore Volt: 1.25
IOH: 1.1
QPI Data rate: Auto Dont even know what this does?
Uncore multiplier 16 Dont know what this does but always 2x memory multi
Memory multiplier 8
QPI strap is 4.8gt always ?
QPI data rate increases to like 5.8k? dont know what this does!

My stats seem very similiar but your NB freq is a 3400 mines 2700? dont know why mines so low help?

heres a pic I just did now for you: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/191/clock17012516612576c30m.jpg/

My max safe vcore seems to be 1.35 in bios as it raises my temp to 92c which I dont want to go higher than, heres 175bclk 2h stable.
