okay there it is as of now, any suggestions? is that power supply enough? and should i get 4 gig of ram? i am on a budget of £650 so far this fits with about £100 to spare. thanks for any advice

Looks nice to me, although I would recommend changing that PSU for the Corsair HX520 with some of that extra dinero of yours. I havent heard anything wrong with Huntkeys, but personally would always rather go with a well respected brand, and the Corsairs are fantastic.

If you are getting Vista 64bit you may as well get 4gb of RAM-it cant hurt! If you are getting 32bit, the OS will not recognize 4gb. I would consider upgrading it to 3gb though-I did that recently and there is a noticeable improvement.

yeh i might go for a 64bit os in undecided at the moment, it doesnt really matter because i get them all for free from my university anyway. would i get better performance by getting 4 gigs and a 64bit os?

Some of the benefit of 4gb will be slightly offset by the fact that Vista seems a bit more resource hungry but it isn't 2gb more hungry so I'd say go for it, I think Microsoft still have a compatability tool on their website so you could see if your existing programs etc would be compatible.

I'd go for vista 64bit, not just because there is good driver support now but because if you've got a card like the 8800gt you may aswell use its full potential.
