Hi all. Looking to make the Intel switch but in order to gain the funds I need to sell my old rig. So new build it is! Reckon I can get £600 optimistically for my old one as a whole. I'm current;y running an FX 8320 @ 4.2ghz and a 970 Stryx with 16gb Fury x

Can you take a look and fire across any recommendations?

You want a better power supply. The SuperFlower Golden Green HX 450W is only a few quid more.

I would also stick some faster ram in there as 2133MHz is pretty slow these days. A 2666MHz - 3000MHz would be ideal.

Maybe swap the GTX 970 for a GTX 1060 unless you are keeping it.

Also you need a cpu cooler as you don't get one with the 'k' cpu. Clearance in that case is limited to 130mm so you will either need a low profile cooler or a water cooler.

Oh. Yeah seems silly but depends if someone will by my old one as a while without gpu.
