My band's new album (self released) just got reviewed in this week's Kerrang, they gave us 3 Ks which is not bad considering they hardly ever review unsigned bands. You do have to wonder at some of the dog-turd music they give 4 or 5 Ks but I suppose beggars cannot be choosers!

If you can't be bothered to check out the mag, here is what they said:

I'm just pleased to see an actual review in print! :D

My mates band got reviewed in Kerrang - 4 Ks I beleive! They were /just/ signed to some tiny label too at the time.

Congrats on the publicity!

Impressive! The review is pretty much spot on if you ask me - nailed the 'vibe' thing exactly, it reminds me of all the ambitions I had when I first picked up the guitar, also the fact that it veers just the right amount off the straight and narrow to keep you interested. Still got eh album somehwere but don't need to listen to it again since all the songs are still stuck in my head. Bah.

Just listened to some of your stuff on myspace and really enjoyed it!

Any place I can buy this now? or do I need to wait for iTunes etc?

Thanks for the nice comments guys :)

Yeah have to wait a few weeks unfortunately. Would loved to have some physical copies to sell but I guess that's the music business! I'm really glad you dig the tunes though!

Who wrote the lyrics? All seem to revolve around making the most of life, unless I'm mistaken. Quite like them.

That'd be me :)

Yeah this record's sort of about living life and the consequences of your actions in this life and beyond. I guess that's the sort of stuff that sites at my core, so it has come out here. I'm pretty happy with the way the lyrics turned out to be honest, and I see it as the weakest aspect of my game (next to guitar and singing).

Glad you like them!
