After sending my HIS 7950 IceQ back due to a faulty fan, I've got my money back (instead of a replacement which I asked for but never mind), I'm looking to get a replacement 7950.

What's this card like? I saw people have had problems with them, but has anyone got this revised one?

Avoid like the plague! I've had 2 and both were duds. Another forum user reported buying 4 and 3 were doa and the other developed artifacts

I ordered the MSI a few hours after making this thread because I wanted to receive a graphics card by Monday, what I have...

And yes, the damn thing is faulty. Two graphics cards - both AMD but different brands - are faulty.

Will I be more lucky with a Nvidia card again?

Get the Gigabyte

This.

Gigabyte have a good rep. I love Nvidia but the price difference of £82 isn't justified.

Not really, the general rule is to stay away from the Twin Frozrs, which it seems like you already knew anyway.

I have 2 IceQ cards and they're fine, the fans that is, or they were when I used the fans (watercooling now).

I can't think of anything else to try to get this thing working.

I've removed my wireless PCI card (which is the only other card connected to the mobo), reset the CMOS. Removed the CMOS battery. Checked that it's seated firmly and everything is plugged in correctly.

The monitor doesn't detect it. It's definitely faulty isn't it..

Just though I'd chip in, returned my TF3 (no idea if it was a "revised" one or not, was tested this afternoon as faulty (kinda pleased, I thought i was just going nuts)

I had a number of issues with it, one of them was it wasn't being detected at all, bios claimed I had nothing plugged into the PCI-E slot, funny that because the GTX 460 was detected immediately!

It's a shame really, I didn't have a bad word to say about my TF3 6950 cant believe so many of these are knackered!

Have you updated your Motherboards BIOS to the latest? So many issues and a BIOS upgrade for the mobo has nearly always sorted it.

I got 6 of the "new revision" on my hands:

1st dead, fans spins but no image
2nd dead, fans spins at 100% but no image
3rd came with bios switch loose/broken
4th is artifacting
5th is working so far
6th is working so far

3 of them came with the same bios: 015.024.000.001.001496 and 1 of them came with the bios: 015.029.000.005.000000 (I have one of each working) and 2 I don't know because they are dead :P

but I'm not sure if I will keed them, because 4 with problems out of 6 is something to think
