Hey guys,

I recently joined Revolut for its ease of use in the USA and currency conversion and i noticed it has travel insurance as well if you upgrade. I want cover for me and my wife and it seems only the metal plan has this cover. Is it worth joining for a month for the metal plan then cancelling and going back to the standard plan to get the travel insurance rather than buying it separate? Of course it has other benefits from that plan while away in the US such as cashback incentives which i would be interested in.

Thanks

If I'm reading what they offer correctly isn't it medical insurance rather than travel insurance?
Im pretty sure its Travel insurance, i was reading a link shortly after i posted this direct through the app. Only the metal plan has this insurance which covers immediate family etc.

However i checked with the online chat agent and they don't do monthly rolling plans, only 12 month contracts. Cancellation fee /Break fee is 2x monthly fee so that's a no go really...

Will just have to use comparison sites and do it the old fashioned way.

Was about to add is there not a minimum term. Ever since monzo added their premium tiers, I'm pretty certain you've got to subscribe for a few months.
