Wonder if it's still against the rules to post magazine scans if you can't read the text...

(Yes, I'm aware they are photos, not scans)

i seen some where else you can use a sword in that game as well ;)

for example when you swing the controller about, the sword on the screen mimics that action

Dunno. Where is the word 'amazing'?

Without being able to see a decent screenshot, I can't really pass judgement on it. If those are actually ingame shots, then I'm impressed.

I always expected something decent, but that does look better than I expected (and can indeed tell from those 'scans'). I couldn't imagine Nintendo not at least trying to compete in some respect with graphics, despite what they say.

Nintendo always seem to be able to get the best out of a system no matter how powerfull it is, look at the remakes of the RES evil series for example. My kids have already put the NR down as a xmas present, lol

HAPPY 1000th POST FOR ME !!!!!!

I have to say I was also amazed at the screenshots even though I am a Nintendo Nutbar, I didn't really expect them to look too good, I don't know why I thought that.

But when you think about it (and what other people have posted on all over the internet) is that the 1st generation of games on the Revolution will look as good as the 6th generation on Gamecube + at least 50% more.

So now I think about it, I should have expected something pretty special all along :D

(btw, the screenshots have been confirmed as actual in-game footage by a Ubisoft employee)

i think they stand a good chance of being like that, ninty done farce about with stuff, i still think most gamecube games look amazing. F zero on a huge projector looks immense

Might be best to remove that congratulations, unless you want to lose a hundred... :)

As for the screens, not overly impressed.. maybe time will help it.

Looks like an on rails 'virtua cop' type shooter to me. Still, very pretty - I can't wait :)

Its completely 3D I read somewhere.
You have total freedom in the environments with the analog stick.

After thinking about this, I have a concern about the control method.

If you use the remote to look, and you need to do a full 180, then you're gonna end up with the remote pointed backwards. There needs to be some functionality to "centre" the view don't you think ?

Also, on the screenshots, you can see that you are aimed to the side of the screen, indicating that the screen doesn't scroll as you rotate the remote so maybe the looking to the left and right is done on the analog stick ?

Just a few things that sprung to my mind.
Anyone care to comment ? :)

Also I have spotted on other forums that some people have made a connection between the Nintendo RS dashboard mockups and Red Steel.
Feel free to comment on that too.

Maybe its abit like goldeneye (Remember you had to press a button to get the crosshair up),so mayby when you press one of the buttons on the analog stick part of the control this enables you to move the camera angle with the remote, hence aim the gun and when you let go of the button its returns to a centred point.

Nope, uses the thumb stick to move, one of the shoulder buttons to crouch, the other to jump :)

From what i've heard, you move the controller to the edge of the screen and it turns around (it turns as fast as you can turn your head in real life) and then when you get to where you want to be just bring the controller back to the centre of the screen or just aim at the enemy.

UBIsoft have been working on this since last years E3... and they've been working very close to Nintendo with this.

Sounds awesome really.
