This is an amazing concept/idea which involves the whole building moving around an axis (I presume) and revolving from top to bottom.

As you might have guessed, the only place this would suit currently is Dubai.

Video here:

Italian architect David Fisher has unveiled his plans to create the world's first revolving skyscraper.

Taller than the Empire State Building, the so-called Dynamic Tower will be built in Dubai, with a second version featuring a retractable helicopter pad, later planned for Moscow.

Just another thought... There would be no secondary Fire escape...

A giant inflatable tubular slide that goes around the outside of the building would be cool :)

Just add flowing water in it and you have an amazing water side!

/edit: Also i can think of another building which used a central access point, the world trade centers used a concept like this and that added to how it fell iirc.

No, I am pretty sure I read on the internets that the government used explosives to make the towers fall. :o

...if only the rest of the world had oil.

What makes me laugh is that Dubai know that oil is running out, so they are heavily investing in tourism for the future income of the area. Now shouldn't they be spending that on renewable energy for future income? They obviously realise that we are all screwed when the oil runs out, so people will fight to live in the paradise of Dubai! Then again, it might suck a bit with no electricity or sports cars driving around. :p

Where did you pull this magical piece of BS from?

KaHn

Not sure if I have a sauce for you, just overheard conversations at work and people were discussing the large scale tourism push? If you have any links to somewhere I can read otherwise, I would happily spend the end of my lunch reading up on the truth?
