oh... stu modded his bonnet as well this weekend.
and I took his Westfield out... for first time on the external gate GT30....
HOLY ****ING CHRIST ITS FAST!!!!
Sooooooooooo fast in fact that when we were encountered by over 30.... yes THIRTY Caterhams going the opposite way and heading for some lanes that Stu would not let me go around the roundabout and give chase

Getting better and better, that cage is sweeeet!update... soooo stu the selfish sack of ****e had just stuffed my poor Westy in his MATES GARAGE?!?!? whilst he prepped his OWN CAR?!?!? for TOTB...

anyhoo, he has pulled it out and will be sticking his red shed in there... here they are... swapping over. Notice how much lower and wider Stus is!!!!

stu then commenced stripping the rest of the rear down... ready for new wider rear wishbones and new (again!
you can see all the extra strengthening bars and gussets Proalloy have added...
Its all been sprayed and rust proofed at back now... unfortunately I don't have any pictures of it because Stu was busy taking photos like this... the knob

Here are a few in meantime.
All new metal work painted black now...
new wider Wishbones and rear anti roll bar fitted and new rear shocks.
New Gripper diff is in and new longer drive shafts and hubs and brakes all back on!!!!
Stu took some pics whilst he was working this weekend...
one of the nice touches on the cool (and HUGE for a Westy) Proalloy fuel tank are these little retaining nipples...
they fit into these little holes in these brackets. Obviously there are straps as well...

Proalloy made some nice brackets to mount the Fuel pump and filter
Some nice aeroquip and fittings was ordered up to do the fuel system and this new diff breather.
Tanks properly in as well now

By the way... stu does EVERYTHING properly.... most people would just screw the fooker in... but not stu. He puts these steel inserts in
crap picture... but this is the ultra cool and silly light and strong Carbon undertray/diffuser.... mmmmm flat floooors are goooood!
