rFactor or LFS?

Depends who you ask :)

LFS is easier to set up than rF

LFS has better car ' feel ' when using a steering wheel compared to vanilla rf

rFactor + RealFeel plugin cancels the above advantage out when used with mods that support it

rF has a massive range of additional car mods / tracks available for download - look at http://www.rfactorcentral.com/index.cfm -

Both have mainly good lag-free online racing compared to some other PC racing titles

Try the demo of LFS and see what you think of it. I'm not sure how up to date rF's demo is, but you don't get the full benefits of what it is about as the demo can't use car mods / additional tracks afaik. You do get 48hrs to ask for a refund after you buy it though ( online download )

Yep, i think it's best known for its multiplayer.

Personally the biggest multiplayer rfactor race i've been involved in was a V8 Supercars race with 30 cars. T'was nuts. :D

Vanilla rfactor isn't that great, but with the amount of mods and tracks available it's like 20 racing games in 1.

LFS for me, rFactor just feels wrong no matter how much buggering about with FFB settings I try.

LFS feels like you're driving on ice, unless you're in the Sauba, and that feels too grippy... well, to me anyway.

It did until they added tyre deformation, now it feels like the real thing.

Although if you drove the Sauba then you would have had tyre deformation.

Opposite for me LFS feels like truck racing and rFactor feels more natural, I don't like the rFactor real feel plugin though it makes the wheel feel very sloppy about the centre.

FFB is very subjective.
