A new mod has been released for RFactor which has taken it up a level.
The NFR ETCC 2005 Evolution mod, Links, video and download can be had here, scroll down for English text.

or at RSC

Amazing online racing has been taking place over the weekend with this mod.
Alfas,Audis,BMW,Octavias and Hondas all bumper to bumper race after race.
They handle brilliantly and are very instinctive with much more feedback from the tyres/track.
A Brilliant mod and highly recommended by me.

Also.
Last week the BMW M3 GTR mod was released another superb mod.
Linky http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?ID=BMW M3GTR Cup
Another Must have mod that has moved RF on towards where we all want it to be.

Must have mods for RF nowadays are.
1. NFR ETTC 2005 Evolution.
2. BMW M3 GTR.
3. Meganes.

Meganes have definetly been top for ages now but are knocked off the top rung by these two mods. The feel handling and online racing potential for these two new mods are endless.

All i can say is! Why The ..... has my force feeback died!? What have i done to deserve this! I was downloading it and as it was coming down i had a quick fire up of rfactor and then bang! no FFB!

So all in all...

I cant play this fantastic mod because ive no ffb! :(

Push the plug back in properly dude.
Failing that reload drivers etc. Check it in windows etc
What wheel is it anyway ?

i noticed the ETCC thing on RSC, came as a bit of a suprise, was not expecting it at all, mind you i dont really keep up to date with such things these days.
after i reformat tonight, i will reactivate rfactor and install the etcc mod, looks bloody great.
how are the sounds and such?
i feel the sounds are one of the most important parts of the game when it comes to emmersion.

Its a Logitech Formula Force GP. I was a bit hungover yesterday so i didn't try a lot of things. :D

Once downloaded scan it with your AV then unpack it into an empty folder.
Then go to mycomputers/progfiles/rfactor. Have two adjacent windows open and transfer the relevent files from the downloaded files to the RFactor files.
i.e gamedate to gamedata, sound to sound etc etc

Post again if you have trouble we can go MSN and i will walk you through it. The mods are what RF is all about and loading them properly is vital.
Some mods do come with self instal exe. i only wish they all did.

This ETCC mod is Awesome and in my opinion the best so far.

Thanks malc i just had a go on the M3 mod.I'm getting a slight pause every now and then when racing so i'll have a mess arount with some settings.

HOLY THREAD REVIVAL BATMAN

Some mods have been released and once again the young modders from around the world have blown me away.
These are must have must try modds for any racing fan.

Firstly the Historic Rally mod. Absolutely superb for an old git like me racing around in RS500's, Mk1 Eccy RS's, Lancia Delta Integrale,Renault 5turbo's.
Handling brilliantly with controlled drifts possible at every bend if you like.
Links with screenys patch downloads etc.

Next we have the superb ETTC2003 touring car mod. What can i say it's touring cars they handle great and the online racing is close fast and furious.
Link for screenys download etc

Like i say these are Must haves for the RFactor garage. The game goes from strength to strength once again.

It isn't that much of a thread revival. Less than one month.

Cheers for the mod news. I keep meaning to play rFactor but I have quite a few Uni deadlines to meet.:(

Do well at Uni and you can race for Real. :)

My holy bit was just to beat anyone else that would type it. ;)
