Hi Guys,

So the taking over of RGB continues as Corsair releases 2 new ranges of RGB fans. The HD120 comes with 12 individual lights allowing you to set them all to a different colour and the SP120 is RGB but can only be set to one colour of your liking.

The HD120 Fan Specification:
- Dimensions: 120 x 120 x 25
- Rated Voltage: 12v
- Speed: 800 - 1725 +/- 10%
- Airflow: 54.4 cfm
- Static Pressure: 2.25 mm-H2O
- Sound Level: 18 - 30 dBa

FFS they now release RGB and Green ones well thats annoyed me got my plane black ones 2 weeks ago for the NZXT S340 Razer case
 
Can these be daisy changed as such, i have a mixture of fans with high performance and PWM, How do the ones with no controller change colour is it just a switch.
 
Shame they have not done RGB/color versions of the ML fans. Still will look at the RGB fans in a few weeks once I've decided on the color for my new PC that can go a long with the rest of the colors
 
One day you will go to oldies disco party and rather then having a disco ball it will have a fully rgb case :D looks good but nothing lights up in my case :D

The fan motor and LEDs are wired separately. The SP120 RGB is a 3 pin voltage control fan and the HD120 RGB is a 4 pin PWM fan. So you can control the speed of these along with other fans as usual. These just have another Cable that comes from the hub for the LEDs.

Pricing is already high on the single color ML Pro LED fans, so I don't even want to know how much the RGB versions would cost.

You'll need to manually remove the LED cable from the LED hub or disconnect the controller from the LED hub or disconnect the SATA power cable from the LED hub. Either of these will turn the lighting off.

Once software control is available, it should be easier than having to mess about with wiring.

No HD140 RGB fans announced yet.

Yes, they are standard 3/4-pin fans so you can control the fan speed as usual. The LEDs have their own cable.
