RGB Fans and how to configure them

It's time to buy a new case, and I quite fancy one of the new Antec C8s, or the upcoming Phantek Evolv. But when I see them on show they all have those pretty RGB fans and - and here's the point - the lights all point into the case, even though of necessity some fans must suck in and some must blow out. Initially I thought the lights must be on both sides of the fan but then discovered this isn't so. So they're either on the intake side or on the outflow side. So how can they get their fans so that all the lights point inwards?

P.S. Apparently I look like Sofia Coppola. I don't much mind but Sofia might take umbrage.

But how noisy are the Phanteks? I've been using Cooler Master Silencio fans the last few years and they're very quiet indeed. I love them, but they're not RGB.
