Hi all,
I have a Phanteks P400 case bought back in 2016. Its the pre-air version with the solid front panel, so I have upgraded the case to the mesh front panel.
The case has an RGB light button which cycles through the colours on the power button and a small strip located at the bottom of the front of the case. There is a connector which enables expansion of this lighting via the Phanteks LED strip, which I never bought.
I have an Asus X370 prime pro motherboard from around 2018 which has the old style 4 pin 12V RGB header.
Two of my fans had become noisy, so I ordered a 3 pack of Phanteks RGB 140m fans. The fans said compatible with the Phankeks cases, Asus aura sync rgb etc. So I thought I would be able to plug them into the spare connector from my Phanteks case RGB controller, but I can't as the connectors are different. And I can't plug them into my motherboard because it has the old 12V 4-pin RGB so not compatible.
Any ideas what I can do about this please? I don't want to spend a lot of money just to get RGB, if it wasn't for the fans wearing out I wouldn't have bothered swapping them, but now I have 3 RGB fans which work but which don't light up so a bit of a waste. I didn't really want or need addressable RGB from within software - I was more than happy with the fans just lighting up the same colour as the power button on the case, with me being able to cycle through a few colours when I fancied using the button.
