RGB help

[Crashly]

I'm never been big on the whole rgb thing before but i figured new build id like some accent lighting.
my issue is no matter what i do i cant seem to get the 3pin RGB to work on my motherboard.
Background info
MSI MPG x570,
Case lian li dynamic xl
fans Ezdy white rgb

According to the product page they should work fine with mystic lights but...they dont. the fans work fine and the remote control lets me change the settings etc but i cant do it from the windows program.
Am i just being dense and missing something obvious?

Not quite sure how to help you as I've never used these fans before but I did have a quick look through some reviews for your fans and one chap said this,

I put the same fans in my Boy's rig last Christmas.
You have to press & hold one of the buttons on the control box, for 10s (I forget which one, so try both). This switches it over from the remote, to the RGB header cable.
It'll then be controlled by the MSI Dragon software or Bios.

Took me 3 months of Unicorn Puke to figure this out.
