So I've built my kid a pc for his birthday, he wanted all the flashing RGB lights on it, and it's only a couple of weeks away and wanna get it just right for him.

Got the phanteks Pro m Tempered Glass Case, black white, ordered a few extra fans for it and an extra halo, want to fit a couple of strip as well if possible?
Motherboard is a n Asus strix b450-f
I've installed the Asus rgb software mouse and mother board synced, I would like to somehow sync all the fans too so the front and rear fan and a strip all do the same pattern, and even better if the amd cooler can also be synced with it too?
Is there any gadget that would do this sobit can be all run off the motherboard and not the case?
I'm a proper noob when it comes to this rgb lighting, it's passed me by

Any help would be great

Phanteks use proprietary connectors on their case RGB, and possibly on their other kit too.
However, they do sell an adapter that converts it to a standard RGB connector. The only thing to watch is that it's a 4-pin 12v connector, as that's the type you have on your motherboard. The other version out there is 3-pin 5v and you don't want to mix those up!

You have 2 RGB headers. The good news is that Phanteks kit should work fine with the Asus Aura RGB software through these headers.
The bad news is that 4-pin RGB is not addressable, so while you will be able to set different colours, you may not be able to run different patterns.

IIRC, Phanteks do a standalone RGB controller. I don't know if they do an adapter that will allow other RGB kit (such as your AMD cooler) to interface with it, but it's worth checking out.

Thanks for the reply,

Yes I've seen the 2 x 4 pin rgb headers on the board, the front case has 2 fans daisy chained to the rgb Bitton on the case, they all have clips, don't look like they connect to the rgb headers on the motherboard?
The other halo I bought has a 3pin male and 3 pin female coming off it which doesn't connect to motherboard or the daisy chained front fans?
Like I said I'm a total noob to all this Rgb stuff.
Would be cool even if I could have the 3 halos and a led strip just working off the case would be ok

Found out the problem even though its a new case it's got older style 4 pin halos attached to it, so I can't daisy chain the new halo I purchased to it... By the looks of it you can't even get the older 4 pin halos anywhere so that's really great of phanteks. I didn't even know there was 2 different types of halos‍♂️
So that was money wasted.

No, that's what the Phanteks adapter does. It converts the Phanteks case connectors to standard 4-pin 12v RGB motherboard headers:

In addition to all your bits already connected to the case, there should be an empty cable still, which is what this connects to.

Alas, no, those are 3-pin 5v Addressable RGB. Female goes on a 3-pin motherboard header (which you don't have), male goes to the female of the next Halo to daisy-chain it.

However, Phanteks also do a pair of A-RGB control units:

The second one includes LED strips, and these are al addressable, so you can have patterns on them.
I think Asus Aura can still control both of these and you should be able to get some degree of colour syncing with the case lights that way. But any ARGB components will require a separate controller in this instance...

Awesome thanks for taking the time to write this out, much appreciated
