Hi all

Looking to RGB my INWIN 101 case...

Any recommendations on RGB fans or LED strips... I want it to have the pulsing effect to

Thanks

I would stay away from anything NZXT. The CAM software is an absolute joke. You need to create an account and sign in to the desktop app and if that wasn’t bad enough throw privacy invasion, dodgy fan control and system instability into the mix and you end up with an expensive, infuriating nightmare.

For my IN-WIN 101, I used Akasa Vegas MB Magnetic LED strip RGB 50CM, MB AK-LD05-50RB
Used the Ext Cable that comes with the motherboard & plugged it into one of the 2 RGB headers, Changes pattern or colour from motherboard software

1 x RGB 50mm strip all you need, change from static to pulsing, to react to music to wave & many other effects, Depending on the motherboard you have

That was one i was considering... Will i be able to connect to a ASUS Prime A320M-K as ive bought the Ryzen 1200 bundle.

ASUS Prime A320M-K as no RGB 4 pin header on that board, being its an A320 , Would need a
Asus TUF B350M-PLUS GAMING That as 1 x RGB header for CPU RGB Fan or Strip up to 12v 1amp, otherwise something like a
Asus ROG Strix B350-f Gaming with the Aura Logo on it this as x2 - 4 pin RGB headers

Have to use a 4 Pin Molex for power & only one colour strip, otherwise maybe an RGB hub to buy

A Good Motherboard will have fantastic Fan control, Fan Headers 0rpm whatever the fan max RPM is with full control & fan details with real-time graphic Display & can bind them all at the same speed with one click
Best I seen is Asus & Gigabyte motherboards for fan control
Would never have 3rd party hardware/Software running fans.
Even the best would not be half as good & with features.

Gigabyte full fan control, Asus also Got a great Fan Control screen,
each header can take 12v 1amp or more that would power up to 3 fans off one header if short on fan headers, that be 3 pins or 4 pins PWM

@Minibiker, If you want to Easy control any way you want LED RGB Strips
I Recommend the ASUS ROG STRIX B350-F GAMING
As 2 x 4 pin, RGB Srip headers 12v 1amp & can do all the modes you want for the strips, One of the best B350 AM4 Boards,
I Have this Motherboard also, also as great full fan control as I stated above,

@Minibiker The pulsing is one of the effects done by the motherboards Software Can have the fans pulsing with led strips & even RGB memory,
Hope this has helped you in your Quest for RGB:)

Thanks @Darren_uk very helpful posts, I like the Inwin fans..i will have to look into getting a new board, When i had my intel build i had the Gigabyte Z370P D3 Board and i remember seeing the RGB connection.

Remember if you already order the motherboard & CPU bundle, you have up to 14 days to send them back OCUK "Change of Mind/Unwanted" refund
Would need to send webnote in support tab for a return.

It's worth getting a full-size ATX Motherboard like the Asus b350-f Gaming to make full use of the 101 case
also, you get more headers & RGB strip headers & PCI-E slots

Gigabyte Z370P D3 1 x RGB header,
Well you love what they offer now, like the b350 2 x RGB headers & great RGB AURA lighting rgb software, Look for the AURA Sync Logo on the ASUS brand or RGB FUSION
on the Gigabyte Brand, The motherboard website tell you full details on what boards:)

NZXT with hue+
You get 4 RGB strips with the unit
You can also get fans that are controlled by the hue+

I also use these, hundreds of colours and effects to choose from. The software is a little glitchy signing in sometimes it forgets your password but no big deal so far. Also remembers your settings when your PC is off so if it's set to what you like you don't even need to sign in every time.
