RHCE - August

Hi Guys,

So, my seat for the RCHE has been confirm for august and i am absolutely bricking it!

This is to anyone who has sat this previously,(RHEL7) what was your preparations you made? any specific documents to read up on ? any practicals?

I work in a RHEL6 environment on a daily basis at work, i am aware of some* of the changes between RHEL6&7. I will be reading up on the exact differences and what not, but if anyone could advise on any material that would be great!

I've not taken this myself so can't give any advise. However I've heard stories of this exam. Good Luck!

I'm supposed to do my RHEL7 one later this year, (I have done my RHEL6 RHCE previously).

I would say that you need to take into account that RHEL7 is a very very different beast to RHEL6 (I've been developing our RHEL7 standard build at work and there are many significant differences). As such there are a lot of changes for RHEL6 in what you do and how you do it. Add into this that the RHCE has changed a lot from RHEL6 to RHEL7 with a lot more non-core OS things included.

I would suggest having a look on Certdepot but other than that run up some test systems and spend a lot of time looking at it.
