Mine is about ready for harvesting, and as it's the plant that keeps on giving does anyone have any good recipes for what to do with it all? I always end up wasting loads.

The past two years mine has done very little. I think its time to dig it up and divide it in an attempt to reinvigorate it.

Rhubarb is lovely stuff!

Crumble, lots and lots of crumble. Followed by more crumble.
And proper thick crumble as well, none of this crappy dusting of crumble, a proper thick layer.

Then and only then, if you have have crumble every single day and still have some left over, rhubarb fool.

I planted rhubarb last year and it just died straight away :(

Crumble, fool, jam, rhubarb and custard pie, it's even awesome roasted with pork and apple.

The joys of living in the rhubarb triangle :D

I just remembered something different that I still haven't got round to trying.
A pork and rhubarb dish from Jamie Oliver. It was cubed pork rhubarb, slow cooked then taken out the suace and fried so it went crispy, it was on one of his tv shows up years ago.

So should do that(assuming you can find recipe) followed by crumble.

we used to do big batches of fruits chop and freeze and use for pies cakes and jams whenever needed.

id go with jam myself .

I have loads in my garden. Made a crumble last week and harvested a bit more for another crumble for tonight. Definitely going to look for some savoury rhubarb stuff for the weekend as I have a few guests coming over for dinner.

Wish mine would grow long and thick. It does huge leaves but the stalks of say 15 or so are about 20-30cm and quite thin. :( I use a quite a large container which was expensive from homebase or somit like that, was passing by at the time.

Only thing i can think of is maybe a water issue perhaps as i never water em i just let nature do it.
