Could anyone recommend me one these...? And possibly a recipe book to go with it lol. Not looking to spend a lot, £30 maximum I reckon.

I got a gino decampo one for 20 quid off ebay but there about that much in wilkinsons i think. Tried instrustions that came with and all the measuring but it didnt work well for me but i found a system for nice basmati rice with it tho "some" occasions it didnt work for some reason or another but most of the time i can make nice basmati rice with it after a lot of trial and error and figuring a value system for cup/water ratio.

Tho if i had more money i might have got one elsewhere like from a asian store as they probably would be better ones.

About six months ago I bought one from Asda/Walmart in Swindon on a whim, as it was only ~ £12. I use it at least three times a week and it does great rice.

Last night was plain basmati rice to go with a chilli con carne. If I am making rice for a curry I add in cloves, green cardamom, cinnamon sticks and fennel seed.

There is usually some rice 'baked' to the base after cooking, I don't know if the more expensive ones do this ?

Some of the cheap ones overcook a bit because of the warm mode that flips to on when cooking is done. Take it out of the thing and rest the bowl with the rice in on the side to prevent it overcooking it too much.

I see. That's what most of the reviews are saying^ Gonna give "Lloytron E807 0.8l Rice Cooker" a go... Do you guys just make plain rice or?!

Been wanting to get one for ages after a friend made carrot rice in one, which tasted immense!
