I had heard people sing the praises of this absolute gem all over the place. I watched an episode of Inside Sim Racing a few days ago and on hearing them talk this game up I thought I would give it a go!!

It is simply brilliant. I installed it this morning and have completed the Rally School. The feel of the car is just so realisitic its awesome.

Took a few minutes to set up my G27 with this game (very easy to do) and it has brought the G27 wheel to life.

Im not a fam of Sim's much... as Im not a big fan of F1, so Richard Burns being the sim of the Rally genre I thought lets give it a go and Im really glad that I did!!!

Graphics are surprising really good, I was shocked... with the release of Dirt 3 in May, this is just what I need to keep me in the spirit of rally gaming...

If you have a wheel. get this game, its £4...an absolute bargain!!!

Highly highly recommended to people who own a wheel!!

Ridiculously cruel though if you have damage set on realistic during rally stages, one slip up and you could lose an entire country rally. I haven't played it for some time now and frankly can't now, don't think my desk could take me battling the the force feedback!

There's also a few mods around and cars are very easy to add, I used BH motorsport to download them, site looks down now though.

Rather than going for individual mods, I would recommend the RSRBR mod from www.rallyesim.fr, this contains the Pug 205 that was reviewed on Inside Sim racing.

It has a fair few cars, some new stages, and you can also run the default stages with whatever surface you want, snow/tarmac/etc.

Yep RBR is a classic. One of the best sims out there. Played it loads when it came out and still play occasionally. One of those rare sims where nailing a stage really feels like one hell of an achievement :)

probably my most played driving game. will be replayed again tommorrow thanks to this thread.

I love the part in rally school where you learn the Scandinavian Flick and the 180 handbrake turns. Pretty quickly you get a feel for the car and what its capable of.. a real sense of control... This game is brilliant.

Thanks for links for the mod BTW Bean0, will install when I have spent a little more time mastering the rally school.
