Yeah, i ended up fast forwarding through that, i'll give season 2 of his car workshop another go.

I couldn't get past the intro...I thought I was being impatient but it seems like i dodged one and saved myself the time!

That's because no one likes Richard Hammond. He was a sidekick who did nothing but laugh at Clarkson jokes.
It reminds me very much of Stewart Lees stand up about him.
5:00min in, but worth the whole watch.

I put it on in the background hoping for a new Taskmaster or Would I Lie To You. But, while I wasn't giving it my undivided attention, it just didn't grab me at all.

What it seems to be missing most is a decent host...

Nothing against the fellow, but I don't think he has this in his locker.

I don't watch everything Clarkson and May do solo but there's been a few things I have enjoyed from them.
Can't say I remember any Hammond solo programs I've liked. The standout being that island thing which was horrendous.

I think once a trio splits up and starts doing their own stuff it becomes evidently obvious and quick which one tends to be the most useless.
