- a few new graphic effects (bomb smoke, laser particles)
- game completable
Requires DX9 C to run (which doesn't mean you need a high end Video)

- P to pause
- Left / Right to move
- up jump or climb up ladders
- down to climb down ladders or crawl
- CTRL+UP to shoot
- CTRL+RIGHT (or LEFT) to punch
- CTRL+RIGHT (or LEFT) +DOWN to throw a bomb to the right or left
- CTRL + DOWN to drop a static bomb
- CTRL during intro movie to skip frames

Those are the graphics of the remake not the original.

The original was very similar though. The Rick Dangerous games were not graphically impressive it was more that they were good platformers. That was until you got to the levels where the traps were just wait and see and then avoid rather than having a chance of avoiding in the first place.

Whenever you see a old game you always think that the graphics look bad because at the time you played it there were cuttting edge. I played the PC version with CGA graphics which were all green and yellow.
 
hrmm is there such a thing out there as high-res re-makes? ie old games that are spruced up to todays standards but still with their classic gameplay?

Ofcause there is but many remakers try to stick to the original as much as possible but for todays systems.

Kind of makes you think, why not just use an emulator? Legal reasons? Remakes aren't exactly squeaky clean legally speaking. They still violate copyright laws, especially if they are very close to the original.
