Workout A 28/8/19

Squats 2x5 @ 20KG, 1x3 @ 30KG 5x5 @ 40KG
Bench Press 5x5 @ 25KG
Barbell Row 5x5 @ 30KG

Really poor again from me and getting in the gym again, major frustrating. Striving for consistency this summer has just been a 'mare

Squats 2x5 @ 20KG, 1x3 @ 35KG, 5x5 @ 50KG
Bench Press 2x5 @ 20KG 5x5 @ 30KG
Barbell Row 5x5 @ 35KG

its commonly known that 1x5 working sets on deadlift just isn't enough, this is even more so at starting weights. You should consider doing 3x5 instead.

Quite happy with 1x5, plus when you throw in the warmup sets when the weight is upped it's more than enough
Honestly this is the only flaw with the stronglifts program. 1x5 working sets will see your deadlift fall behind. Theres plenty of info on this out there, even in the main gymrats thread.

I would tend to agree here! doing 3x5 on DL's until they get heavy heavy, was probably the best thing i did for my 5x5. Not only from enjoyment, but in terms of really FEELING it after a work out, the dead lifts are the one thing for me that make me feel ive really pushed it.

give it a try, at least for a week or two.

Busted my finger during cricket on Sunday, pretty bruised up and no way I can live a bar. Is there any exercises I can do in the meantime without any bar involvement?
