Just watched.

A mate went to see this live, said it was amazing - i guess you had to be there. Thought Ricky was more like a rambling drunk you find in your local 'Spoons.

I love Ricky, very clever individual and although i prefer his TV shows, some of his previous stand up is very funny and satirical, but Armageddon? I think i chuckled once or twice, the rest of it was boring or just not funny.

I used to be a big fan of Gervais, off the back of Office and his stint on 11 o'clock show. Extras didn't really hit for me, but I liked the podcasts with Karl, and appreciated his acerbic Golden Globes stints.

But I did try one of his comedy specials and, even as a big fan at the time, thought it was terrible. Only watched about half of it.

Since then, I've gone off him really. After Life was crap, and he's a bit of a dick.

Ha! I'm the opposite, The Office, Extras, Afterlife, Derek - think these are genius, but not a fan of his stand up at all.

Strange one for me this, I've quite liked his other standups, particularly the one where he reads the bible/noah story , he's always been a little "preachy" in his content but Armageddon just seemed too "preachy" and as a result I didnt find it anywhere near as funny as his previous stuff. I sat there as I watched it and thought "yes, yes I get it Ricky, can we move on now"

Name calling the disabled kid, spitting on them - that one was a bit much for me and dragged on.
