Ricoh GR Digital APS-C compact(world's smallest camera with an APS-C sensor)

Hmmm looks interesting. I've got a soft spot for Ricoh from the 35mm film days. 28mm doesn't really appeal to me that much though.

I would prefer a 24mm or even 20mm, then it would be pretty sweet. Seems more or less IDEntical to the Nikon A but 50g lighter.

I'm getting one. Love my GRDIII, the ergonomics are perfect but the IQ from the small sensor lets it down. Surprised at how reasonably priced it is compared to the GRDIV as well. The lens seems to be a lot better than the Nikon A's in the corners too.

Got any examples/reviews to compare with the Nikon A?

It does look good this camera.

That is a big difference but with this type of lens tested at that short distance I would tend to guess it is a field curvature issue the Nikon suffers from. I expect if the focus was changed to focus on the corners the Nikon would sharpen up a lot. Why you should rarely use example images like this to examine lens performance, and why you shouldn't focus and recompose!

I've always been tempted to take the plunge on a digital GR camera, but was put off by sensor size. This may change my mind, I'm glad they didn't put a 'VC' lens on it too.

It's really interesting to see these big sensor fixed prime lens cameras comming from a range of companies the competition will hopefully drive some inovation and reduce prices. Personally I would prefer a slight longer lens something around 35mm and ideally a little brighter as it would be a little more versatile.
