Ride Demo now available on Steam to try. The game is due out March 27th according to Steam.
Description:
"Bikes from the world's most beloved motorcycle manufacturers, breathtaking races, and a round-the-world trip taking in 15 different locations, all this and more in the new videogame: RIDE."
The game will apparently feature a lot of customization for each bike and rider. Sounds fun.
So for those who aren't familiar with this game. It's been developed by Milestone S.R.I, who has worked on various motorsport racing games, such as the MotoGP series, World Rally Championship and MXGP The Official Motocross Videogame just to name a few.
This game to me is interesting to the point that I don't follow MotoGP anymore, so haven't bought the latest games. Yet I'd love to do road racing which reminds me a little of Isle of Man TT.
Has anybody played the Demo yet? What are your thoughts? I'm in two minds currently on if I will purchase the full game. I'm sitting more on a yes though.
I'm running the Demo with maxed settings, and with VSync (which is much needed with my monitor), I keep at 60fps.

Couple of screenshots from the Demo:

The game still leaves a lot to be desired. One thing I was thinking while riding around not long ago, is that the wildlife on this track just seems dead. It would be nice to have some birds flying overhead or even flying past some animals
Mirrors just don't work. Looks pretty much like they haven't added in reflections of the environment, except for the road. This IMO needs sorting.
- When you are riding at a fast pace, the motion blur kicks in. But the edges on the mirrors / top of the bike of the bike start to look jagged. I haven't tried with motion blur off yet though.
- The sound when using the helmet view just seems a little on the weak side.
I don't ride in real life yet, so I don't know how this would feel to those who have.
If you are a fan of bikes, I'd say try the Demo. The worst possibility is you don't enjoy the game. I actually like the game. It does tend to have an arcade style feel with it but I can look past that. It's still enjoyable.
NOTE: Not PC exclusive, also available on other platforms.
