Ridge Racer 6 Help...

How on earth do you beat the car in race 30 on the special stage??? I must have raced him 20 times now and i have tried boosting blocking everything... he gets me every time... used the Himmel and the Mappy... Doing my head in!!

Like with winning all the other races. Tail them and only use a nitrous if falling too far back. Before getting to the finish line use a double boost to get past them for the win.

Yep, sadly it reaches the point where you have to start exploiting the way the AI works rather than try and race it as you would a human.

The amount they boost depends on how much you boost

its gone back to its roots, just like the old days it geats very hard towards the end. Rage Racer was the same and still is IMHO the best of the series, this comes 2nd although it is the biggest game of the series

Oh, I don't mind hard, but to be fair some of this isn't 'hard' in the way it should be. It's hard because the computer cheats it's ass off

I still love the game though

This has always been the case with every ridge racer i remember getting the devil on the first game that was rock hard the only way was too block him

True but when you do beat him it makes it all the more sweeter as you know that even being cheep the computer cant stop your true skill

GIT... had another 10 goes tonight.. The ai was bloody cheating all the time... Boost off the line... Then i managed to keep up with it on the last lap to see it out boost a x3 nitro with 1 shot... Errrr Ok.... :rolleyes:

It is a bit lame, it's more of an art than I science I found. On one race, I had to boost just the right amount, so that on the last few corners I could use a triple boost and get past. If I didn't boost to keep up a bit, he'd boost as I came close

Some different types of cars have boosts that last longer but are harder to power up so this can be normal

On the last few races you really have to try not make a single mistake, take all the corners really well so you get the DJ kissing your bum and boost at the right time trust me it feels great when you do it this game for me is the best racer on the 360

I have started doing the expert duels and i am half way through.. hopefully that will give me a bit more help with the AI... i am only loosing right on the line so its not by miles... I bet i have to do it again after that too... Is there a faster car than the Mappy G00?

oh and masters route is easy compaired with the final route
