Really don't understand where they've got that figure from?

I've recently changed contract and got a new phone, but this bill is for my old number.

My billing date was from the 27th of December > 14th Jan (when I bought my new phone/new contract).

I was refunded £4 something for the 14th-26th January because I asked them to change my old number to pay as you go.

My old contract had a 350 minute allowance.

I downloaded the itemisation for calls inside the allowance,

3 hours and 11 minutes (191 minutes) (last call inside allowance was 5th of Jan)

Itemisation for calls outside the allowance,

2 hours and 57 minutes (177 minutes) (all calls over allowance began 6th Jan until the 13th)

So 368 minutes, I should have only been charged for the 18 minutes I went over, no?

:s

£48 I was charged for these minutes.
Plus there's a £12 administration charge that I wasn't even told about?

Apparently the 350 min allowance was 'pro-rata' for the 27th to the 13th due to me changing my rolling sim contract to pay as you go (as suggested by the t-mobile rep on the phone) i could get some line rental refunded (£4.2). He didnt tell me this would cost me £48! :/

edit; Happy ending.

I basically said the person I spoke to about changing my old contract to pay as you go said nothing whatsoever about the minutes I had used up until that date being billed pro-rata for that bill. Otherwise I'd have just paid the rest of the line rental when the bill was due and avoid paying the £48.

She apologised and spoke to the billing department and removed the £48 and the administration charge.

I always find T-Mobile helpful. Biggest discount I got with them was just over £180 for an error on their part. All I was really owed was prob around £80 but the rep couldn't be arsed to go through the entire bill so she knocked the lot off (international calls).

I was quite impressed/relieved.

I know it doesn't take a genius to work out I wouldn't have opted for saving £4.20 line rental and take a £50-60 increase in my bill instead, but I'm glad they didn't try and investigate further and just took a common sense approach.

Well right now t mob messed up my contract and removed my net last month so i have a bill of round £1000 and im currently waiting for it to be re canculated the rep on the phone told me she couldnt do anything and that it had to go to the billing department. Hope it gets all sorted out for me aswell :D.

eh? What the hell did you (supposedly) do to rack up a bill of £1000?! And if it was because of the net, I'd love to know how that happened as we charge a maximum of £1 a day if you don't have unlimited net O_o

I didnt even use much net only like a few days it was 121mb = close to £800 before VAT. Not too sure how that works out but now im just waiting 1 month for them to re calculate it and it should be all gone since none of this was my fault.

Were you outside of the uk or something? Cos EU charges are £1.50 per mb and outside the EU it's £7.50 per mb. That would make sense then :p

Nope never left london, When i was checking the bill one time i use 20mb and i got charge aroud 130£ jsut for that. I dont really now how it works out cause i have the capped data rate aswell just t mobile being weird :S.

Fallen_god: that'll get changed then so don't worry about that. The recalculations dept are pretty good with these things.

Kristoph: it won't get changed on your bill. What you'll see is a credit on your account, so if you go to the make a payment section of my t-mobile, you should see that the balance you owe is now less what they credited you :)

Around 5 years ago I called to up my allowance to 800 mins but was somehow put onto a business plan. Anyway I got a bill for around £1300 and it had to be looked at in detail to be reworked etc. It took them 3 weeks to do it, I got cut off twice and because I have 3 phones it affected them all. (2 mine, 1 for my mum)

After it was dealt with, I complained about the whole saga. I got £140 knocked off my bill, £100 towards an upgrade for my mum and she also got a huge bunch of flowers sent to her. Result

My friend was telling me to go complain cause I didnt have net for almost 1 month, and my line was off for almost a week while it was getting sent to the billing office. Im just waiting for the charges to be taken away and then ill complain.
