Just thought you lot might fancy a laugh.
I did this for no good reason other than Im bored.
Now, before I start, I will tell you that I am a serious Atari user. I love them. And now that long ago, I converted them to run Compact Flash cards. The Falcon has IDE as standard, the STE does not, but I got it converted to do so. The TT has only SCSI.
Now, with this, I have also done a few adaptations where I can just plug in the Card I want for the OS... One for GEM, One for Magic, One For MiNT, One for Linux and so on, and so forth, and so, what I have, is a handfull of Compact Flash to IDE Adapters and a fari few Compact Flash cards.
I have just scrambled them together to see what I have got, and I worked out 4 1GB Cards, stuffed them onto a PCI Raid card and had a go... It works!
Got to be the most thick thing, but I am mirroring and striping, and I have just installed DOS6.22 and WFWG311 onto it... Its actually pretty nippy too!
Nothing useful here, just thought I would share it with those of you WGAF
