Rift - Free 2 days game time for previous subscribers - This weekend

Havent played this since launch, but it always seemed very promising just a severe lack of content IMO.

They are giving previous subscribers 2 days of free playtime from the 14th till 16th of September.

Tempted to revisit. Anyone still playing?

Its pretty dead at the moment, I played for quite a while.

A new expansion is coming soonish so maybe that will drag people back.

As much as I enjoyed rift, I couldn't see myself giving it another go.
It got to the stage last time where all I was doing was logging in for raids or raid rifts. PvP was no fun due to pyromancers (at the time) and I just didn't feel like grinding out recipes for crafting only to have no guildies ask me to make them anything.

Not really worth the monthly fee for playing twice a week if that.

I'll probably take a look, always liked the game. Won't be subbing though with GW2 and a fast running out sub to The Secret World competing for my attention

I feel the same, I really enjoyed it and it was a fantastic looking game, but it just didn't suck me in. I enjoyed Gloamwood and dungeons but I got to the canyon zone and that just seemed soulless.

If the Trion had the advertising budget to get it hyped up and got a lot of people in might have been better, but to me it just felt like most people where only there for a look and wouldn't be staying longer than a few months.

I reckon that zone is responsible for a load of lost subs. Gloamwood was brilliant, the atmosphere, the story of the hag, some fantastic hidden puzzles. Then you hit that awful bloody canyon, and you just lose interest
