Greenman Gaming are currently selling Rift, along with 30 days of free subs, for the bargain price of absolutely nothing whatsoever. Note, however, that you'll need to enter your card details and manually cancel your subscription to avoid paying monthly once the thirty days are up! Sneaky.

That's completely your fault, surely? Any pay service that offers a free trial almostinvariably bills you automatically at the end of the trial period. 6 months is a bit steep, but you've really got nobody to blame but yourself.

Unlike being able to cancel your subscription online, which you can do with pretty much every online service I've ever encountered? It'd surprise me.

Whilst I didn't enjoy Rift, the customer service by Trion is pretty good in my experience. They auto billed me a month after I had stopped playing but agreed to refund me the full amount.

If it helps, I got stung the same way over a certain "check your credit rating" site - turns out that I had to cancel the account and respond to their confirmation email before they stopped taking my money, and since I created a bogus email account just to sign up I completely missed that part
