Rift or Vive!?

Having got my gaming laptop recently (specs in sig) ive been very tempted to get into vr on pc.
The games and the tracking over psvr is the main reason.

But looking into it the rift is 400 and the vive is 500.
Ive seen people say rift is better....then next thing i see is the vive is better lol

Ill be placing my laptop on the tv unit and have got a decent amount of floor space if needed

Ok after a lot of back and forth I'm going for the Vive.

The tracking boxes only needing a power socket is a big plus for me as I want 2 in front near TV unit and a 3rd on the rear wall behind....and wiring up the rift cams with extension leads makes my missus a killer lol
Also future upgrade options and rechargeable controllers are nice.

Now I can order one now through VERY.CO.UK with £40 off....so paying £460
Or I could wait for Black Friday but any chance they being much cheaper deals!?

Worth buying now or waiting for Black Fri?

The best deal on OC was lumping in the Deluxe strap for free at 500. I think that might have been BF last year, I can't recall.

I think the lowest you'd possibly see the Vive is 450, a very loose possible though. £460 sounds good.

Yeah I was thinking the £460 is pretty good. The deluxe strap would be nice but not essential as I'll use vr less than avid players I'd imagine

Ok well ordered the Vive which should be here tomorrow and a mate (lives 200 ish miles away) has sent me a 3rd light box/plug/bracket and a spare vive controller he doesnt have time for anymore....for FREE!

Will set up later in the week if not weekend and get some games downloaded!!

Rec room is brill! Constantly being updated and laser tag is addictive.

Alien Isolation, Elite dangerous, dirt rally are all amazing in VR.

Also get Accounting for a good laugh, its free too.
