Rig problem

Okay so recently I bought some things:

OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400C5 Dual Channel Vista Gold Series DDR2
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 5000+ Black Edition 2.60GHz (Socket AM2)
Asrock ALiveXFire-eSATA2 (Socket AM2) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

But it seems that something isnt right because it just wont run.

My current card is an ATI Radeon X800 GT

Won't run any games, boot into windows, post, or switch on at all? From the info you've given it could be any failed component, or a power cut in your street

Its not booting correctly. Everythings getting power.

Its really hard to describe, since everything SHOULD be working fine.

Well no it doesnt die. It runs, it just continues to run and run, not even going into BIOS or anything. Like when i have my monitor plugged in its just blank.

Like you know when you first power your pc all the fans run at 100% then slow down to like 50%... mine just stays running at 100% and wont boot past the bios or anything.

Im currently in the middle of the same situation with a different setup.
I have tried replacing every component and still not fixed it, managed to cut down the list of potential problems to the motherboard having a hardware conflict with the VGA card.

Just hope yours is something less awkward to fix.

Ah, it doesn't POST. Stript it back to PSU, motherboard, CPU, one stick of RAM, see if it beeps.

At the moment its just got power, ram, cpu and a graphics card, i get no beeps at all with the card plugged in or unplugged.

Thanks a lot man. I tried each ram stick, turns out one of them isnt working or something.

I think i might need to send them back to OCUK to get a replacement or something.

Does it work with one RAM stick but not the other? Does it beep when neither are in?

mIt works with one stick of RAM.

Only one stick works tho

not gettiing to post = normaly you have earthed the board, take the board out, look at the mobo tray, make sure all the right screw holes are in and no extra ones!

then plug it in,

make sure you also have the 4 pin power adaptor attached to the 20 pin power adaptor

( i am pretty sure this board uses 24pin)

Okay so it wont boot, and it doesnt let me try and reinstall vista from a disc because it gives me a retarded error saying to enter a boot device

Go into BIOS and make sure your boot priority is set up correctly.

Also open up your case and ensure all your power/SATA/IDE cables are pushed firmly in.
