Rig to replace my Q6600 : Sandybridge

Hi,

After years of faithful service I'm finally going to put my Q6600 out to pasture and build a Sandybridge rig. Now I don't have the time I used to so I need some assistance with choosing some of the components:-

2 X ATI 6950 for Crossfire (which ones for flashing to 6970?)
Intel Core i7-2600K 3.40GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155
Sandybridge MOBO (Which one for overclocking and good Crossfire placement?)
8/16GB Memory (Which?)
OCZ Vertex 3 120GB 2.5" SATA-3
PSU (Something Corsair, what WATTS?)

already have a ANTEC1200 that all this stuff is going to sit in.

Going Crossfire will obviously mean going for a more expensive motherboard and PSU. From my experience, it's ideal (from a cost perspective) to go for a single card solution, and then just upgrade the GPU in 6 months. However, as you requested:
